The third serving of Downtown Dining Week begins TOMORROW, May 29 and runs until Thursday, June 5.
For an affordable prix fixe lunch and dinner, no passes, coupons or cards are needed. All week long, simply dine at one of the 30 participating downtown restaurants and select from a special three-course menu.
At just $10 for lunch and $20 for dinner, Downtown Dining Week offers a unique opportunity to sample some of downtown’s best cuisine without breaking the bank. Note: the cost doesn’t include beverages, tax or tip. So, the online lunch and dinner menus list the meal’s regular price to encourage patrons to appropriately tip their server.
I’m taking advantage of this deal to experience some of the new places in the Downtown neighborhood or perhaps to revisit some of the places I really enjoyed, but haven’t been to in a while. I’m eager to check out Swig and the new Fratello’s Waterfront Restaurant.
Other eateries on the list this year are Zarletti, Osteria del Mondo, Bayou and Benihana. For a complete list, head over here. I highly recommend Butch’s Clock Steak House for a good cut of meat and Yanni’s for scrumptious seafood, plus they offer the most food for your buck.
Happy dining!
This year’s restaurant list is pretty good, but I think last year’s list was a little more exciting. Zarletti is good… I recommend that. I also suggest Bayou – the crab cakes are to die for!

I second that on the crab cakes at Bayou! I was not able to participate in this last year. It was probably the lack of advertisement for it, or the fact that I am kind of lazy. I will probably end up going to lunch and dinner on a few of those days. I am dying to check out more restaurants in the area.

I missed out on this last year, and was determined not to do the same thing this year. So, to start off with, a coworker and I went to Swig for lunch yesterday. It was awesome. Curry Wantons with cucumber yogurt sauce, Gnocchi and 2 pieces of cake for dessert. Ah-mazing. Swig was great! We might go Benihana's next.

Hey Matt-
I'm planning to hit up Swig for dinner this week. I've heard so many good things about the food there!
Have you dined anywhere else yet? If so, maybe you could tell me if I'll need to make reservations.
Also, I'm glad to hear that you aren't missing out this year. I'm glad to finally partake as well.
