Earlier this week, our photographers got us a sampling of photos from our wedding. (A sampling being about 250 out of the 2,000+ they took that day!)
I was itchin to get my hands on them so that I could place my order for the ever-popular and ever-cheesy photo holiday card. (Yup, I'm a married lady now so I'm going to be dorky and do my first photo Christmas card!)
I was also excited to share my pics with loved ones – and with the gals on the Knot!
I've talked at length about how much the girls on the Knot helped in my wedding planning, and after a year and a half of enjoying other girls' bios filled with beautiful wedding photos, I decided to take my turn and return the favor.
I won't lie – it took HOURS to put it together over the past couple of days – and I found myself wondering more than once "how do these women have the TIME?" But oh well – it's a holiday weekend and I had the time – and I'm delighted with the final product! The pictures are just gorgeous. We picked some darn good photographers!
I decided that instead of reloading them all on here to share, I'd simply post the link to the bio. It shows many of our pro pics and details the day quite nicely. So I invite you to take a look!
Erin & Dave's Wedding
I'm going to leave the link on my sidebar for a few weeks, too, since this post is bound to get buried quickly after I post about the Christmas tree we're going to get this weekend!
Wow, very nice pictures Erin. It looks like it was such a great day. Congrats again.

7000 have viewed your profile. WTF?
Posted by: Andre | November 26, 2006 at 04:19 PM
It's at 6,600, silly - and that's since I first started a bio on there more than a year ago. It used to have all my planning photos in it ... It has gone up about 1,000 in the past week though!
Thanks for checkin it out. ;)

I'm not sure I agree with some of their technical choices (some of the photos seem way too grainy), but I think it's more than a fair trade for the style. It's too bad more peoples' wedding photos aren't like that.

You've shared so much about planning and the wedding itself. Have you ever posted about how you and Dave met? You two are adoarable together!

Lordy that's quite the bio girl!!! I absolutley LOVE recapping your wedding though so it was worth the 15 minutes it took me to get through everything =)

Andre, the only ones that could be called grainy are actually supposed to be like that - they were taken with an infrared lens. I think they're cool. And I'm glad you like the pics.
And Liza, thanks! I haven't ever posted about how Dave and I met, but the story fits in well with a mini-post I'm going to do tonight - so stay tuned. ;)

Not much about the "city" on this blog lately. Misleading given the various press that has been given to it, but congrats on the wedding.

Ah yes, Bill, but seeing as how you're only a "visitor" - meaning not a regular reader, correct? - I do believe you'll find a wealth of information in the sidebars and in the archives about the "city" that you probably haven't read yet. If you're indeed looking for information, you better get started on your reading - it could take you a very long time!
I also believe I've addressed the issue of non-Milwaukee-related posts over the past couple of months, as well, and you'll see that now that it's all over, I'm swiftly getting back on track. It was that or no posts at all, and no one wants that now, do they?
I didn't really appreciate your comment - I put a lot of time and effort into this site and I take pride in it - and if people have a problem with it or its content, I really have no problem with them not coming back.
But thank you for the congrats. That I appreciate.

Amen, sister.
Your site is fabulous. The posts about your life give us all a peek into the life of the woman who is giving us a peek into Milwaukee. And that's how we Actual Readers like it.
Also, your pictures are SO gorgeous. Those photographers are amazing.

Hello Erin!
I would just like to thank you for all of the information that you have posted on your site. I have become a lover of the Lakefront Brewery Tour and found it through your site!
Also, my boyfriend and I are planning on going to the Rosebud theater to see the new James Bond movie. So, thanks for the info!
I think that the wedding info is great! I am a member of the Knot as well, and I am getting my wedding planned, too. So, I am so greatful for all of the good info!
Keep it coming!

Thanks ladies!
And Bill, I take back what I said about you not being a regular reader - I checked my very official records and you've commented several times before.
You enjoy my political posts - even though they have nothing to do with Milwaukee, either - but you have a big problem with the wedding stuff.
I gotta say, take it all or leave it all, Bill!
And you know, there have obviously been some good posts in the past couple of weeks - you just like to stir up trouble and get some attention every now and then, don't ya?
Despite your sporadic dumb comments, I have a sneaking suspicion that you like it around here.

Erin-
Great photos, wow! I will have to keep The Knot in mind when planning my wedding down the road. I loved how you listed all the vendors you used and the ups and downs on using them. Thanks for the letting us in!
