I’ve gotten a handful of wedding wishes via email from readers the past few days and I wanted to say that I very much appreciate the sentiments!
I feel confident that most readers have enjoyed the wedding anticipation along with me and for that I am very grateful. I do realize, though, that this is a Milwaukee-focused blog and that people come here to read about my excursions and get ideas as to what to do in the city.
Just wanted to put it on the record that two weeks from today, it’ll all be over. I’ll be back from my honeymoon and ready to return to work – and blogging. So for those who don’t love the wedding-related posts, bear with me a few more weeks!
I won’t lie – there will be recaps, there will be photos, and I’m sure there will be more gushing about my big day before all is said and done. And you’ll like it, darn it. J
Give me three more weeks. Then all will be back to normal here at Play in the City, I promise.
Until that first baby is on the way, that is ….
(JUST KIDDING! That’s a couple years off still.)
On that note … It’s our wedding week!!! Whoo hoo!!!
I think we're incredibly lucky that you've chosen to share this experience with us. I know that it's somewhat divergent from the original intent of the blog. But you're going through a life-altering - and, from my perspective, magical - experience. And I think it would make little sense to isolate who you are from your writing.
Milwaukee will be there after you get back from your honeymoon. In the meantime, we go on a bit of a different journey. Wherever you decide to take your words and your readers, I'm sure everyone will happily follow along.
Please know that you're in our thoughts this week. We're so thrilled that the big day is almost here. If my own life can serve as any sort of parallel, it only gets better from here.

Hang in there Erin. Things will get overwhelming but try (it will benear impossible)to keep it all in perspective, but it's all worth it. I was a complete horror the week before my wedding as were most of my friends! Good Luck & Congrats!

I just wanted to say congratulations again-
You will be a beautiful bride- just try to remember to take it all in,not to stress over the little things you can't control- because if you do, you'll look back and wonder why you did. It's your day together- the beginning of the IMPORTANT part of the wedding... MARRIAGE!
Enjoy it!!!!!
Maybe the next time we meet for Carolyn's blog, we can talk about YOU expecting a baby!?

I've enjoyed your comments about your upcoming wedding as much as your blogs about Milwaukee.
I've been watching the weather for you and hoping for the best.
I can't wait to read about the wedding and see "lots" of pictures.
Have a great day and a wonderful honeymoon.

Have a fantastic, wonderful, enjoyable day. No matter how much you try to take in that moment and absorb it, it won't be enough, it will STILL go by crazy fast. Milwaukee will always be here, and no matter what, your wedding will influence how you see Milwaukee. Have a great time, and of COURSE you better post pics!
