I'd like to take a moment to observe the Winter Solstice.
Yes, after the heaps of snow and the weeks of frigid temperatures, the official start to winter has finally arrived. It's craziness.
Just wanted to check in ... only two more days until it's the Christmas weekend!
Friday night, Christi and I will be heading down Candy Cane Lane - it's our "Christmas Eve Eve" tradition. I wanted to mention it beforehand because if you live in the Milwaukee area, you should definitely try to get over there before the holiday season is over. (yes, I know - I should have mentioned it weeks ago! Oh well - if you can't make it this year, now you know for next.)
Candy Cane Lane is a residential area of West Allis (one of Milwaukee's burbs) - with the boundaries being S. 92nd and S. 96th St. and Oklahoma and Montana Ave. - filled with houses beautifully decorated for the holidays.
Volunteers hand out candy and accept donations for the Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer (MAACC) Fund.
Last year, Santa even visited our car!
