I was alerted by a reader today about the U.S. Holiday Train, which will be making a stop in Brookfield this Friday, December 9. According to the website, the holiday train will be collecting food and money and raising awareness for local food banks. It will be decorated with hundreds of thousands of Christmas lights and will feature entertainment, too. Looks like fun - and it's for a great cause!
It'll be making its stop at 9:45 p.m. Check out the website for more details.

Karl, is that sarcasm I'm hearing?
The stop Friday night benefits the food bank of Waukesha County. I'm sure there are plenty of people in need in Waukesha County.
