Wanted to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving, even if I am a few days late. Hope you enjoyed your holiday, and that you have much to be thankful for this year.
As for me, my holiday was nice, although Dave's grandma's passing put a bit of a damper on the festivities this year. I did manage to see my whole family on Thanksgiving, as well as Dave's family, and I've gotten to relax a little, too. Of course, the weekend has gone much too quickly, as it always does. I was very thankful for the four days off though!
The night before Thanksgiving I got together with some high school friends in Burlington. It was a great time, but I regretted much of it the next day, when I just couldn't stomach most of the delicious food that was being served.
The day after Thanksgiving, we got our first big snowfall of the year already, so Dave and I spent some time Friday night shoveling snow.
Just like I enjoy raking leaves, I enjoy shoveling snow, too. The world is so quiet and peaceful, and it's a good workout, too. Once we'd finished the driveway, Dave went inside, but I stayed outside and did the neighbor's sidewalk - not really because I'm a nice person (though I AM) but because I wanted to shovel more snow!
That's about as good as it gets as far as outdoor activities go this past weekend. But I'll be back with you soon. Have a good week!
That's a neat picture of you shoveling. The snowflakes look like stars.

Ah, yes, the Thanksgiving Eve drinkfest. I tried to do that this year (I'm usually out of town and cannot), but I fell asleep.
We made up for it Friday night, though, when a couple of my cousins, and my uncle and I went to a few bars. One cousin got so drunk that he used the side of my kitchen counter (and consequently my floor) as a bathroom. I think my favorite part was that he was too drunk to clean it up. I mean, when he points at it and says, "you don't know nuthin about snowshoes," it's a solid bet that a quality mopping job is out of the question.

Erin! So glad to hear that you've discovered the joy (and peacefulness) one gets from shoveling snow; that is if it isn't over a 3" snowfall and the snow isn't too wet. I've been hooked on this "hobby" for years!
