Tomorrow I'll be heading up to Minneapolis until Sunday for a fun-filled girls' weekend. And then I'll be back just in time for the Paul McCartney concert at the Bradley Center on Sunday night.
I give you this information because it of course means that I won't be around to share my outdoor escapades with you this weekend. I've been so wrapped up in work and in my weekend plans that I'm not even sure what's going on in Milwaukee in the next few days. (I know, what kind of outdoor blogger am I?) However, OnMilwaukee.com always has a good "Weekend Preview" on Fridays, and Sarah over at Paint the Town will know what's going on indoors. That'll get you started!
If I were you (which, ok, I'm not, but let's just pretend), I would enjoy one of the last autumn weekends by carving a pumpkin, visiting a haunted house, or taking a long walk or bike ride.
(But I'm not you. I'm me. So I'll be spending my weekend drinking wine, visiting with my girls, shopping for bridesmaid dresses, and eating out. And driving a lot. And seeing a Beatle!)
Anyway, on second thought, I think the weather is supposed to be pretty crappy this weekend around here - not to mention in Florida! Are these people ever going to catch a break? - so perhaps it'd be better to stay in.
Whatever you do, I hope you have a great weekend. And hey - why don't you leave me some love while I'm gone? I know there are plenty of you who visit often but never say anything. I think in the blogosphere, you're called lurkers. Come on, you can say whatever you want. I mean, you might as well since you're here anyway...
Sounds as if you have a great weekend ahead. Your seasons seem to be more advanced than here in England. Although we are in Autumn, it should still be warm for another 2-3 weeks and then as mid November kicks in we will know that Winter is on the way.
Picking Pumpkins is original. In the UK we have really only done the All Hallows thing in a big way for the last few years, whereas it seems to be much more of a tradition in North America.
And Hello, Michele sent me!

Hello, Michele sent me today. Your weekend sounds FAB (tell Paul I said hello).
This weekend is a busy one for me. I will be walking in our local Walk to Cure Diabetes tomorrow morning, then we are going to get a pumpkin for carving. If we don't get the rain they're forecasting, we're also going to a Halloween Festival. Boo!

I think the people who know me would drop dead if they saw me carve a pumpkin. I will probably check out the Public Market and buy a bunch of stuff I'm too lazy to actually cook.
Here is your love. Michele did not send me - I came of my own volition.

I want to know how the corp job is going.
1. Is Friday Hawaiian shirt day?
2. Do you have a stapler?
3. What does "PC Load Letter" mean?

If some bug dudes in purple shirts ask you to go on a "boat cruise", say no.
