My diploma finally came in the mail today. I'm actually a college graduate.
I've been waiting all summer for it to arrive - I was getting a bit worried that maybe I'd attended the ceremony for nothing and that in reality, I had missed a required class or two in there. But nope, it's here, and I'm relieved. I felt really proud when I opened the envelope and looked at it. I wasn't expecting to feel like that, but hey, it's a big accomplishment!
My charter fishing trip tomorrow morning had to be rescheduled, which is a big bummer. The guy called tonight and said that the water is going to be really rough in the morning and not good for fishing, and that he wants us to be able to go out when the conditions are better. So we'll probably try again in two weeks.
Now I have tomorrow completely off, and Dave is going to go into work since he's not going fishing. So I'm going to take advantage of the day and do something blog-worthy, though I'm not sure what yet. Maybe a long bike ride on some of Milwaukee's trails, or a visit to the Mitchell Park Domes - or maybe something I haven't even thought of yet.
Stay tuned...
Congratulations! I remember it being a pretty great feeling as well when it finally arrived. Looking forward to hearing what you do with your day off! :)

Wow, I'm a posting machine today =)
I'm glad to hear that you JUST got your diploma and you graduated a month before I did. I was just thinking the other day how I hadn't received mine yet and was getting worried myself.
Good to know I'm still in the running for an official bachelor's degree he he =)
